Biography
Joanne Pemberton-Longman, a painter in oil and tempera. She studied at the Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting under F.E. Jackson 1934-38. Going on to exhibit widely, with the Royal Academy, Royal Hiberian Academy, New English Art Club, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Society of Women Artists and National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Gravers/Printmakers and at the Paris Salon where she won a silver medal in 1961. In 1949 there was a one-man show at the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour. She was a member of the St Ives Society of Artists and Society of Painters in Tempera.
